Hullabaloo: n., – Great noise or excitement; uproar.
“Hullabaloo” describes me as a child and thus my experience in school. You see I was “that boy.” The one full of energy, always acting out and never sick. I believe I had a decent education but I know there were too few teachers that built a real relationship with me. This blog is a place for me to share my experiences as a teacher and my journey to build relationships with every child and every parent. My main topics are the areas I am most passionate about in the classroom: technology, creativity, collaboration and play.
Currently I am a Kindergarten teacher in N. Dallas, Tx and also a Masters student at Texas A&M Commerce. I have been teaching since 2001 (all in Kindergarten) and have found it to be the perfect place for me to work and play. I enjoy making others laugh, pushing the boundaries, and let my passion for learning lead me in the classroom. I ask my kids to take risks every day and feel it is only right that I am willing to take risks as well. I am proud to be the co-founder and an organizer for EdcampDallas as well as a moderator for the twitter chat #Kinderchat. I have been married since 1999 and have three wonderful boys.
I am available for professional development and presenting. Please use the contact me page to inquire.
